But you don't, you stay inside, and in a mysteriously luminous misty haze the train visits futuristic underwater cities in the uncharted depths. Then you sleep, you sleep, perchance you dream. Of far away lands, of still unclassified colours, of mystical animals...

Well actually it's not really a dream, it's almost as real as the air you breathe, you just pressed play on Gyoza District's newest album, and this master of weird chill music is determined to make you trip to another world.

Gladia Moony - Black Sugar

I must admit at first glance, when I first threw my ears at this, I said to myself: "This isn't my type of music."

But well, I listened anyway. And turns out it's pretty good. If you like this you should probably take a listen to the rest of ajlavmuzik's catalog. There are probably many of your future favourite albums waiting for you. Like, anxiously waiting, that is.

Between thoughtful and bizarre... it's all in the title actually.

Some of those tracks would make great folk horror soundtracks.

Dropping Gems - Gem Drops Four

Fourth in the line of succession of the Gem Drops dynasty, this fourth installment comes across as a worthy heir. It taps into the endlessly inclassifiable music of its predecessor to give us one thoroughly enjoyable musical journey from beginning to end.

A flawless ethereal gem drop, to listen to without delay.

Like now, unless you've got something better to do, but I doubt it.

C-Jeff - Preschtale

Preschtale, by C-jeff, definitely one of the best chiptune album I've had the opportunity to listen to, these times around. 

Ultimately 8-bit, but mixing a variety of influences such as progressive metal, a kind of chillbit and... well a bunch of other stuff, not necessarily musical, creating the ideal atmosphere for a trip to the stars and then maybe roam a hostile planet in search for the meaning of it all.

Just imagine, imagine crossing that final frontier, discovering the hidden mysteries of the cosmos, battling or meditating among the stars, all with this music in the background.

C-Jeff is also the founder of Ubiktune, a russian netlabel specialising in... well... you know... Chiptune !

If you're into that musical genre, you will just have to go and take a listen at everything they have over there, LOTS of great stuff to discover. You'll see !

Oxynucid - Modular Allotment

A mystical sound that makes you travel around the tangible universe, a strange chariot stopping in front of your house, with full-blowing basslines as fuel and repetitive patterns used to steer... Well anyway, I don't know what to say.

Caution, this release begins well, but turns really bizarre, so mind you open your mind.
